Intermediate Holds Annual Sportsfest; Showcases Dance Sports;

Intramurals is one of the campus recreation programs which provide the students and faculty the opportunity to come together for competition and camaraderie. In line with this, the Intermediate Department held its annual sports fest, Oct. 10-11 at Philippine School Doha with four competing teams: Red Tamaraws, Yellow Tigers, Blue Eagles, and White Hawks.

The event kicked-off with the search for Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest 2016 wherein White Hawks' Sir Jhorel T. Gaorano and Rita Therese G. Paje were declared as Mr. and Ms. Sportsfest, respectively. Both were awarded as the Best in Sportswear. The other escorts and muses who represented their respective teams were Red Tamaraws' Al Mansour G. Gandarosa and Julia Marie Del G. Rosario (1st Runners Up), Yellow Tigers' Jaasiel Marcus A. San Jose and Arianna Ysabelle C. Dasmarinas (2nd Runners Up), and Blue Eagles' Rennzo Rafael Galvez and Elaiza Marie S. Cruz (3rd Runners Up).
The event was also highlighted by the Dancesport Competition wherein the participants per team showcased their terpsichorean prowess. Zoe Margarette G. Mamarlao and Xavier Leon Victor P. Turo of the Red Tamaraws emerged as the grand winners with the following competitors as runners up: Yellow Tigers' Aya Mikhaela Lyn C. Lubon and Uriel Joshua V. Cervania (1st), White Hawks' Rohan Jazan P. Tomas and Diego Christopher Q. Laylay, Jr. (2nd), and Blue Eagles' Andrea Liana M. Dimapilis and Kurt Gabriel M. Lumanlan (3rd).

Different participating teams competed in variety of sports and other activities in which the following emerged as winners: Basketball (Red Tamaraws), Volleyball Boys (Red Tamaraws), Volleyball Girls (Yellow Tigers), Cheers and Yells (Red Tamaraws), Laro ng Lahi (Blue Eagles), Dancesport (Red Tamaraws), Badminton Doubles (Yellow Tigers), Table Tennis Doubles (Yellow Tigers), Scrabble (White Hawks), Chess (Red Tamaraws), Badminton Boys Singles (Yellow Tigers), Badminton Girls Singles (Blue Eagles), Table Tennis Boys Singles (Blue Eagles), and Table Tennis Girls Singles (Yellow Tigers). In terms of overall ranking the following teams were ranked as follows: Red Tamaraws (Overall champion), Yellow Tigers (1st Runner Up), Blue Eagles (2nd Runner Up), and White Hawks (3rd Runner Up).
