On the 24th of January, PSDians excitedly flocked in the Edgar V. Bondoc (EVB) Gymnasium once more to experience a sequel of the school's annual Dance For A Cause (DFAC) and Ultimate Dance Battle (UDB) Kick-off events. Yearly, the Supreme Student Government (SSG) initiates the said program to generate funds for the underprivileged brothers and sisters back home by way of showcasing the dancing skills of students from various grade levels.

Great music was blasted throughout the gym to set the mood for all the participants and patrons of DFAC. Relative to the conduct of the event and to ensure order and safety of everyone, a briefing of the 3 Ground Rules were discussed by Ysabelle Mendoza, the Grade 11 SSG Representative. This was followed by the purpose of the event and the beneficiaries of the donations to be collected, which comprise of the selected adopted schools and the Bantay Bata Foundation of the Philippines. The most-awaited part of the program, which is the UDB kick-off, followed immediately. Excitement filled the air as the lights were turned off and the disco lights transformed the EVB gym into a colorful frenzy, prompting the party to begin. Students were full of life and energy as they danced to the music and made their shout-outs during the performances.
Great addition of the photo booth also made the event more entertaining and memorable for everyone. During this, the UDB contestants, consisting of eight groups, showcased their dancing prowess. First to perform was the DOH-Suzu, followed by No Identity and Requite. The first three groups already mesmerized the audience with their dancing skills as loud cheers reverberated in the entire gymnasium. The students could not wait any longer and were anticipating for the other groups to perform. Following Requite, BTS exhibited their dance inspired by KPOP, which was followed by Vendetta, Crush, BBC and last but not the least, Bes Crew. The students were amazed by the performances they witnessed as they take pride once again in the talents of their fellow PSDians. The winning group of last year's UDB, Androgynous, also performed, displaying their infectious dance moves.
A generous heart is what embodies a PSDian. Through this activity, students are able to have fun while sharing and showcasing their God-given talents with the ultimate goal of helping the less fortunate. Dance for A Cause Version 2.0 was truly a successful event. Not only does this event benefit everyone who is involved, but it also left a smile on every student's face.
